Kala J is a Philadelphia native with a passion for music, media and helping others. She received a Bachelors of Art degree from George Mason University where she majored in Communications with a focus in Media Production and Criticism and minored in Film and Media Studies. 

Kala's love for photography started in 2008. She developed her skills over the years adding videography in 2011. Kala have been apart of numerous production projects that varies from religious organizations to sports. She also held numerous job titles in the media industry. Kala prides herself on professionalism and creativity. Her mission is to show the world through the lens of her camera and to tell the untold stories of the unsung heroes. 

Kala currently host her own podcast, KJ's Corner, on SoundCloud as well as host a web show, This is My Philadelphia, on Youtube.
